my story of change/challanges

My story of change is about my sickness I had in 2005. It all started off when it was an ordinary day I went to the fridge to have a drink of apple juice. After that I had to go to school but I felt a bit weird in the stomach so I told mum and she said see how u go at school and if I felt worse I should ring her. So I went to school and started to have this really bad pain in my lower stomach so I went to sickbay and they called my mum and she came and picked me up. We went to the doctors the next day and they said that I had nothing wrong with me but the next day it happened again so mum went to work and I stayed at home in bed. When she got home she said that one of her work friends son had the same sort of symptoms as me and she went to this Dr.

So we went to see him and he did millions of tests and said that I had something called mesentery angitis  that is the fat behind your gut is inflamed with really big glands. The sizes of the glands are usually 3mm but mine were 13mm so that’s why he thought I was getting stomachaches. We eventually stoped seeing him and saw another doctor at the royal children’s hospital by then I was feeling much better. He said he didn’t think it was because of the glands I was having stomach pains he thought it was a virus. After a few months I felt much better and I still have a few stomach pains off and on now.

During this time this changed my life by it stoped me playing sport and it stoped me going to tasmania for my school camp.It also stoped me playing with my mates it basicly stoped my hole life and I didnt relise how much a sickness can change yuor life.
